In production from 2002 until 2005, the Bavaria 32 was designed by J & J Designs, and offers typical Bavaria style in a compact size. Modern Bavarias offer yachts with a very well finished and 'woody' interior at very reasonable cost thanks to a very highly developed mass production 'assembly line' facility, currently turning out nearly 3,000 boats a year.
A modern family yacht from Bavaria, with a wide range of options including choice of keels, engines, etc. The yachts are popular both with private owners and charter companies. Asking prices may vary considerably as although the base price of a new Bavaria has always been low, adding various options, such as deep keel, larger engine and teak decks can increase the price significantly. Also, the fact that many boats will have been used for charter can affect the amount of wear and tear they have received. Although called the Bavaria 32, the yacht is actually almost 34 feet in length.
The accommodation consists of vee-double forecabin, with space for small seats and lockers aft, the main saloon, with galley to port and chart table to standard, and heads compartment and a double aft cabin.
Over the years Bavaria have been using progressively more composite boards and less ply, and less and less solid wood trim; nevertheless the overall effect has always been impressively 'woody' for a budget boat, with more lockers and stowage than in many other comparable boats.
