Q: What is the yacht charter cancelation policy?

A: In the event of yacht charter cancelation, the following cancelation fees apply:
1. For bookings cancelled more than 90 days before embarkation:  Cancelation fees Euro 150
2. For bookings cancelled between 90 days to 31 days before embarkation: First payment 50% is retained
3. For bookings cancelled less than 30 days before embarkation: Full payment 100% is retained
If the yacht is rented again in the same period and under same conditions, cancelation fees will be refunded.
For your own interest, you are strongly advised to take an appropriate holiday insurance which will cover your losses in an undesired cancellation case.

Ionian Charter reserves the right to refund charterer payments only if succeeds in letting the Yacht to another Charterer for the same period and under the same conditions. In the event that the Charterer should elect to terminate the charter and deliver the Yacht prior to the date designated in this Agreement, the Owner shall not be liable to the return of any proportional part of the hire money.

Marina Alimos

Alimos Marina is one of the largest marinas in Greece. The Marina is located South West of Athens 15 Km from the city center, 8 Km South of Piraeus port and 30 km from El. Venizelos International Airport. It is served by a dense transportation network of Trams, Buses and Taxis, with stations 500 meters from the Marina.

The marina has around 1000 places for servicing cruise boats and yachts up to 40 meters long. The maximum depth of the Marina is 6.5 meters.

The services available in the Marina include:

The Marina is located close to Athens city center offering all the conveniences of the city.

Transportation from the Airport:
  • with the bus X96 from the airport getting off at Edem Stop (Euro 5,00 per person)
  • with the suburban to Syntagma and from there with the tram line 5 and getting off at Edem Stop
  • with a taxi from the airport (35-45euro)
  • with a minubus (90-110euro)

Lavrion Port

Eleftherios Venizelos International Airport is 28km away from Lavrio Port or about 30 minutes drive. Lavrio is also connected to Athens by car using the Lavrio/Sounio Leoforos (Highway) and then Attiki Odos.

For your transportation from the airport to Lavrion Port you can either pick up a taxi or use the public transportation. Taxis cost Euro 50-55 for organized transfers or a bit less if you pick up one from the queu at the airport.

If you choose the public transportation, you should use the suburban train and get off at   "Markopoulo" station. Then you take the Regional Bus (KTEL) from Markopoulo station to Lavrion port.

Since you are coming from a long trip to enjoy your holidays, it is highly recomended to use the service from a private minibus or a taxi. Just contact us for further details.
